The look of new parents

Here's a shot of Jess and I just moments after we met our baby. I have many photos that were taken during those special moments, but this one really strikes me. I love the looks on our faces as we look into the eyes of our newborn child. And I love how this photo bridges the gap between the unseen baby in utero and the baby that the viewer of the photo can't see. But let me tell you -- she was very much there in that blanket. Alive and amazing.
