The classy folks at Oriental Trading

Most of you who read this blog know that Punchbowl has a business relationship with Oriental Trading Company. Over the past year, I've gotten to know the folks from OTC. I've had the good fortune to visit Omaha, NE a few times and have had many phone calls with various people at OTC. They are a great group of people -- smart, down-to-earth, and generous.

After my first visit to Omaha (which included a visit to Warren Buffett's favorite dive restaurant), they sent me a Monopoly game based on Buffett's company Berkshire Hathaway. When I told them Jessica was pregnant, they sent a whole bunch of party supplies that were appropriate for a baby shower. And just this past week, they sent party supplies and other fun things to acknowledge the birth of my daughter.

The party supplies they sent were perfect and awesome. They included "It's a Girl" party supplies so that we could announce the birth to our neighbors by decorating our house, and they included some personalized products that had the name of my daughter and her birthdate. I love personalized products -- and these ones are very, very classy.

I decorated the outside of my house and hung the poster sized birth announcement in my living room. Thanks very much Mary, Brian, Sam and the rest of the crew at OTC. You truly put a big smile on my face.
